October 29th, 2010

lemonade For many entrepreneurs, the most uncomfortable part of being in business is selling. How about you? Can you sell without feeling uncomfortable? Or do you feel like you have to slip into a different mode to make yourself do it?

Many of you know about my background in was in direct sales. And in fairness, at first I just didn’t get it. I was pushy (because I was desperate) and that made me uncomfortable. How Entrepreneurs Can Find Good Guest Bloggers

September 29th, 2010

Become a Guest Blogger Recently I’ve had the privilege of having a number of guest bloggers contributing to my blog. I’ve really enjoyed the wisdom they’ve had to share. Guest blogging is a great way for entrepreneurs to connect with those in your industry and share expertise.

Your readers benefit from the additional expert insight your guest provides, boosting the value of your blog. It also saves entrepreneurs time because you don’t have to write all the content. The trick, however, is to find guest bloggers that will enhance your blog and bring real value to your readers. Read the rest of this entry »

September 22nd, 2010

Gift This week I was interviewed twice and both women asked me why I’m called the Get it Done Girl. What I shared is that last year I stepped into my gift and began doing something that comes easily to me – I get things done easily.

The truth is I’ve always gotten things done quickly but I’d never paid much attention to it. It’s kind of just what I do. Read the rest of this entry »

Self-Belief is One of the Greatest Gifts You Can Give Yourself

September 16th, 2010

believe “Belief is the bridge between your dreams and your dreams coming true.”

What you believe as an entrepreneur believes will affect your habits. Then the cycle continues. Your habits will affect your choices, your behavior, and your decisions.

Belief is incredibly powerful. “If you expect to fail, in most cases you already have.” How many days have you woken up in a bad mood, thought bad thoughts and bad things happened? Read the rest of this entry »

Interview with the Get it Done Girl by @ginabell

September 14th, 2010

My good friend Gina Bell interviewed me as part of her series on How Does She Do It? Here’s a copy of our interview.

kim-headshot How long have you been in business online? 2 years

Tell us about your business. Who do you love to work with? My ideal client is the motivated entrepreneur who’s got lots of great ideas but gets stuck getting them from their head into the marketplace. As the “Get it Done Girl” I love supporting that person via live coaching, interactive classes and informational products to implement their ideas and take action. The benefit to them in working with me is they get the tools to Get it Done which allows them to make the money they want, serve the client they want and make the difference they know they can make. You Don’t Have to be Techie to Use WordPress to Create Your Blog

September 7th, 2010

A Blog is a Magnet for Your Ideal Clients Blogging is really is a great way for entrepreneurs to get your wisdom out to your community.  I love how it’s so easy to create a connection with my community.  Being able to express my wisdom and then getting your feedback helps to build that essential “know, like and trust factor” that’s so important.  I think a blog is by far one of the most brilliant tools that any of us can use to share what it is that we know and to draw a following.

Have you wanted to set up a blog but are feeling overwhelmed, especially if you’re not a techie kind of person? Is that what’s holding you back from getting your blog started? Maybe you’re even having trouble deciding which blogging platform is right for you and your business. One that is easily customizable and user-friendly for entrepreneurs is WordPress. How Entrepreneurs Can Build A Loyal Blog Following

September 4th, 2010

Build a Loyal Following I’m sure you’ve heard the marketing saying that it costs more to get a new customer than to keep the ones you have. The same may be true for bloggers. It pays to create a loyal following! And the way to do that is to build relationships with your readers moving them through the know, like, and trust factor.

Here are four tactics to help entrepreneur moms achieve that:

Be consistent. People generally like to know what to expect, particularly when it comes to frequency of blog posts. If you commit to posting every day, then find a way to make it happen even with the busy schedules that entrepreneur moms have to juggle. Read the rest of this entry »
