Where Metromoms Can Find Their Own Tribe
Think about your own circle of friends and colleagues. How many “metromoms” do you know who are in Mary Kay, Melaleuca, Tupperware, Arbonne, Avon, Pampered Chef and Send Out Cards, to name a few? Then think about women you know who own franchises, are insurance agents, realtors etc.
I was surprised to recently learn that millions of women are showing an entrepreneurial spirit-starting new businesses three times the rate of men. So why do we feel alone? Even though there are millions of Metromoms, it seems like there is a feeling of isolation when you’re working alone.
Running my own direct sales business, I noticed that what we crave are colleagues-women who understand us. As a natural connector, my goal was to bring together a nurturing tribe of women from all over the country. That’s why I’m so pleased to share that in July 2008 The Metromom Entrepreneurs Association will be born! It’s a member-based online community for all entrepreneurial moms and women in, or interested in, home-based direct sales businesses
Your help is invaluable to me. Right now my site is live but I’m looking for feedback. Will you please sign-up for your 1-month trial membership, fill out a profile and begin exploring the site? Over the next few weeks, more and more women will begin joining the community making your experience an even richer one, so keep checking back. I really appreciate any feedback that you have.
